On the ancient feast of Beltane the Celts would stage a mock battle between Spring and the Winter Queen. This year, Aela has been chosen as the May Queen, and Rourke will act as her champion among those who protect her from the Winter Forces.
But the crowd is filled with more than just human spectators. The fey have come to watch, and for mischief's sake they will assist the cold in its attempt to over take the warmth of spring . . .
